Out with 2022, In with 2023!

 2022 at Valley View ended quite literally with a bang, as we had eight fireworks lead shooters here for New Years Eve. We all went up to The Horizon West (formerly known as Blue Horizon) for dinner on the 30th.

On the 1st we had them all up to Valley View for an after party, together with Rahje Shields who along with his brother Jean-Pierre runs the fireworks company we were all working for.

The shirts commemorating the occasion were supplied by Al Smith.

Al, Ian, and Josh Stayed on for a week or so and helped Bob work on his house, most notably fabricating a spiral stair to his roof.

A dramatic improvement in our connection to the outside world was the installation of a Starlink dish at Bob's house. This combined with point-to-point radios linking his house with ours gave us both high speed internet! Hurray!

We decided that it was about time to finish the wainscot tiling in the living room and Binghi has been working hard at that. His most recent section features an underwater scene requested by Barbara.

The weather has been very dry, but the plants don't seem to mind too much. Well, as long as we keep watering them!

I'll close now with a couple of sunsets. I seem to have a problem with the wildlife photobombing my sunset photos!
